    Is this really permanent?

    Yes. Short links do not auto-expire. We keep them active as long as our service and database remain online. We also keep backups and support takedown for abuse.

    Do you track clicks or show analytics?

    No. This minimal version has no tracking or analytics—privacy by default.

    Can I choose my own alias?

    Yes. You can create custom slugs (3-12 characters) in the Advanced options section, or let the system auto-generate a short 4-6 character code.

    What URLs are allowed?

    Public http(s) links only. We block private networks, data/file/javascript schemes, and known malicious domains.

    Can I delete a link?

    You can request removal via support if a link violates policy or was created in error. We may disable links at our discretion for abuse.

    How is this different from other URL shorteners?

    We're a free alternative to Short.io, Rebrandly, Bitly, and TinyURL. We provide unlimited link storage with a 20 links per day rate limit. Unlike paid services, we don't charge for basic features, and unlike some free services, we don't expire your links or force you to create an account.

    Are there any limits on how many links I can create?

    We have a 20 links per day rate limit to prevent abuse, but there's no limit on how many total links you can have. All your links are stored permanently and remain active indefinitely.

    What's the roadmap for this tool?

    We're currently testing interest in a full URL shortener product. Once we reach 10,000 email subscribers, we'll build the full version with analytics, custom domains, link editing, and more advanced features.
